Looks exactly like OEM
I'm actually pretty sure it is the OEM for Subaru. It fit fine, works like it should, and had no immediate failure like the stant I got a while back. Oh, and it came with a seal that actually fit.

Check engine.
Replaced this when I did the timing belt. Failed the first week. Check engine light because it was getting stuck open.

Perfect fit and an easy diy install. I tested this with the boiling water technique, starting submerged at cold and was able to see this gradually open to full and close in the cold rinse afterwards. No headaches on this project!

Good replacement part for SVX
Good fit, looks to be good quality. The local auto store sells the thermostat w/o the gasket, which has to be special ordered, and takes 2-3 days to arrive. Ordered it here, with the gasket, and it came to my door in two days! No brainer there!Aisin makes water pumps for Toyota and other Japanese cars. Figure they know how to make a thermostat too. Installed it yesterday, and looks to be working

Geunine part
Awesome price for OEM part. It's not a knockoff.

Not the correct temperature limit.
Put this thermostat in my subaru outback when i did my timing belt service. After i did that it kept throwing an engine light saying that the coolant tempature wouldn't reach normal operating range. I put the old orginal one back in and havn't had any issues. Of course i'm past the return window so i doubt i'll get my money back now. Do yourself a favour and get an OEM one if you need to change it.
