Bumpy Start, but So Far So Good and Excellent Customer Service!
UPDATE: The company contacted me offering to replace the light for me free of charge, and they did so very quickly. They were quick to communicated and follow up and the new light arrived yesterday. This one works great, though (this may also have been what I thought was wrong with the other one) you have to hold down on the on button for longer than I expected for it to turn on--such that at first, I thought the replacement had the same problem as the first one. It doesn't though, and actually works very well. I now think that may have been what was going on with the first light and that maybe that one actually worked fine, I just couldn't figure out how to turn it on. I would recommend that the instructions for the light be more clear that you have to hold the on button down until the light turns on.After I've had a chance to use it out on the road for a bit, I may update the rating to 5 stars.PROs (so far):-Light is pretty easily removable from the base, for charging, which is very convenient.-Base attachment attaches snugly and is easy to figure out how to put on my handlebars.-There are 4 light settings: one flashing setting (pattern is 3 quick pulses, 3 slow pulses, 3 quick pulses, pause, restart sequence), then low-beam, medium, and high. Whatever setting you have it on when you turn it off is the setting it will be on when you turn it on (i.e., it remembers your last used setting), which is really convenient, since I usually use the same setting on my rides.-Inside my dark apartment, it was very bright. I'm curious to see it on the road (will update).UNKNOWNS:-I haven't tested battery life yet. I think it was partially charged when it arrived, so it charged up in about an hour or less, but from what I've read, it needs 3.5 hours to fully charge from empty. Not a big deal to me, but worth being aware of.-I haven't tried out the cord/on button attachment, but I'm exited for that--seems like that will be convenient, especially when riding at dusk on winter evenings.-No idea how longevity will hold up, but it does feel very sturdy and well made (the light itself is metal, not plastic, which bodes well).OVERALL: Very happy with it so far.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was really hopeful about this light, based on the reviews. It arrived this weekend, and I charged it fully first thing. After the blue light was on, indicating a full charge, I was excited to try it out, only to find that it didn't turn on at all. Nothing. I charged it again, thinking maybe I'd imagined the blue light and it just wasn't charged enough. That wasn't the problem. It's just completely defective and doesn't work at all for some reason. Obviously others on here have had better luck, but I'm frustrated and disappointed. I'm returning it--I haven't decided yet if I want to try again or look elsewhere.

Solid, heavy metal construction!
First impression; this little light weighs a ton for its size. It fits in the palm of my hand but it feels like it weighs at least 3 pounds. It’s solid, if I dropped it I know this will not break. It charge faster than it said it would directions gave it 3 1/2 hours for a full charge mine charge in just under three. Took about five minutes to install on my handlebars took 30 seconds to install on my bike seat the little red flashing light front light so bright almost blinded me there’s no way you won’t be seen at night there’s no way you won’t be seen from space with this light on 600 lm from this little light impossible I wouldn’t have believed how bright until I had it. What an epic light!

If you ride at night, you need to have this!!
I got this for a friend who has to ride at night a lot, and sometimes it rains. I love that this headlight is waterproof and rechargeable via a USB cable, which is provided. You just slide it off it’s mount and bring it in to recharge. The tail light has batteries, but they have included an extra set for you. The charge on the headlight lasts about two hours, which is really good. I’m not sure how long the batteries will last on the tail light. The LED headlight is very, very powerful and you can change it to a flashing strobe light or an SOS signal. The tail light is also highly visible and has two flashing settings as well as the solid light. This is very well built and solid. I was surprised at how heavy the headlight is. There is a remote button that you can install for the headlight as well. To turn on the tail light, you just have to push on it. Needless to say, my friend loves his gift, and it makes me feel a lot better that he is so visible on the road. If you ride at night, you need to have this!!

Great light!
UPDATE: I like to ride with this on the brightest setting, and it seems to get anywhere between 2.5-3 hours on a charge. It's gone out on me a couple of times while riding, but there's a warning (the on button blinks in red), so I know it's coming. This price is still really good, so I'm ordering a second one, so I can always have a charged on ready so I can switch to a fresh light if the one on the bike dies. The light is really good for my needs. I do mostly urban/suburban riding, and this lets me see sufficiently (so I can not hit the innumerable rabbits and potholes in my neighborhood!), lights up street signs really well, and lets drivers see me. I love the fact that this comes off the bracket so easily, too--with other lights, I've felt like I was going to break the bracket trying to get the light off to go charge it.---Tonight was my first ride with this light, so I can't speak for its lifespan, but so far, I like it. Tired of giving up riding just because it's late fall and dark after work, but also on a tight budget, I got this light after seeing the really reasonable price and the reviews. It puts out sufficient light for urban/suburban riding where there's a few streetlights here and there. I felt like the cars around me could see me, and I could see what was ahead of me. I'm not sure I'd use this for riding on a un-lit trail or country roads (might want to go with higher lumens for that) and want to be able to see things like deer, etc., but for my mostly-urban purposes, this should be perfect.Bonus: I love that it's super-easy to install and that the light has a quick-release lever so that, even if I'm not charging it, I can take it inside with me when I get to work to give one less thing for bike thieves to try to steal. My one complaint: I'm pretty sure the flashing mode is SOS in Morse code, which is a little silly, since SOS is internationally recognized as a call for HELP! Overusing SOS, like in products where there's no emergency need, can lead to people ignoring it when someone really DOES need help, so I'd argue that the blinking pattern should be something different. But since I probably won't be using the blinking mode, I won't dock a star for that.
