Numark Red Wave Carbon | Wired Professional DJ Headphones with Swivel Design, Detachable Headphone Cable, 1/8- Inch Adapter and Case Included

I had some Numark headphones - also with detachable lead - for about five years prior to these before it was time to replace them. So I bought these Redwave Carbons out of loyalty. I'm surprised the frame has been breaking for other reviewers because I never had that problem. They have always been very rigid, firm and tight though, and would frequently cause cluster headaches.A couple of months ago the detachable lead (a common point of failure with headphones) failed so I figured the generic lead from the old Numark headphones would fit. Unfortunately I was wrong. These Redwave Carbon headphones now have a *proprietary* detachable lead. So, a replacement can only be acquired from the manufacturer or its agent. Except it cannot!I contacted Numark support, who put me in touch with inMusic UK, and they informed that it is impossible to source a new detachable lead. So although there is nothing wrong with these £60 headphones, I've got to dump them because the manufacturer won't sell me a lead that should cost less than £2 to produce.Meanwhile they continue to sell brand new Redwave Carbon headphones with that lead.So, here I am at Amazon looking for a new set of headphones to buy. My previous loyalty towards Numark has now evaporated, but I've also decided to avoid all the other brands that inMusic are supporting as well, in case detachable leads can't be purchased separately for their products either. They were kind enough to mention all of those brands in their email: AIR, Akai Professional, Alesis, ▲lto Professional , Denon DJ, Denon Professional, ION Audio, M-Audio, Marantz Professional, Marq Lighting, MixMeister, Numark, SONiVOX. They may all be affiliated companies for all I know, hence my reluctance to purchase their products.

The Sound quality is really good if you want make Electronic music ! Is better than I expected, I hear sounds more clear with that one than in compare with my Beats Studio 2 headsets ! The comfort is also good , you can wear them over hours that’s not a problem ! Yes there is a lot of plastic and of course that’s not to compare with Sony headphones or pioneer etc etc from the material quality BUT value for the money you pay you get a really really good quality !!

If you're wanting headphones bigger than your head I guess these don't sound too bad.... But ...They had to go back. Something came loose within the headphone after a few weeks (tiny screw maybe) that then rattled more more than a sub in a club. Amazon kindly refunded and I bought the hd25's that I shouldn't have skimped on in the first place.

Really good headphone, just a bit too tight, so difficult if your throwing them on and off mid mix / beat match. Overall good value for money.

I bought these headphones to replace my technic head set on my dj decks. The sound quality is amazing. The fit snugley , i would recommend these for anyone from easy listener to dj
