About the age my son started crawling, I baby-proofed the cabinets (and we have a lot of those!) with the non-magnetic kind of adjustable locks and it worked great until my son was about 17 months. When it only took one weekend for him to figure out how to dismantle or un-latch every.single.lock there was. I had to empty out all of the closets that were in reach and find new places for everything. Then of course in a couple more months, he learned he could use random toys and the ottoman as a stool to get to things that were out of reach, so there went that plan! I was getting desperate when I saw this new breed of baby locks and I have to confess, I wasn't sure he wouldn't find a work-around but this has honestly been a life-saver. A complete improvement over the older design.

More like 3.5. Great locks, strong adhesive and easy to use. My only complaint is the inability to purchase more "keys" from the company. I have these on 2 levels in my home and when a key inevitably goes missing we have to run to the other floor to grab the other one, I'd love to have a few spares. It would truly be a 5 star product with that option.

Works exactly as expected! We used these on the bottom drawer of the stove and the dishwasher that has no lock. Our little one would always open both, but now he can’t open them so has given up playing with them. The magnet unlock works great, we keep the ‘key’ on the side of the refrigerator for easy grabbing, and unlock is super easy, just hold and pull back, as easy as that! We bought a larger pack, so as the little on explores more we have these on hand to secure other areas :)

Perfect! Of course they arent the prettiest looking but they do the job. Now my son can’t go thru all my makeup in my Ikea Alex drawers. I was having a problem with other baby proof products not fitting my drawers but this worked perfectly! I just hope the stickiness doesn’t wear off of these things and they pop off. Would've been nice to have a couple extra 3M strips just in case.

I like that it's exactly what I've been looking for. Only problem, one of the locks sprouted legs and ran away. I know where it was, but now it's gone.It's really awesome!!!! I didn't know something like this existed!!!!

Needed a lock for the mini fridge in the home theater room to keep kids out and this was perfect. No drilling, easy install, works well. I use the magnet key that came with some cupboard locks as it’s more powerful. The ring style key this came with works, but takes a second to line up just right.

This is the first lock that actually keeps my 5 and 3 year old can’t get into. The magnetic key was what I needed. My 5 year old can figure out press/push/pull ones. Having the key where she can’t reach it is great.

My toddler can get into everything! She breaks into my cabinets constantly and I have cabinet locks. These magnetic locks are perfect for us. She can’t slide the latch open with her tiny finger nails. Definitely recommend!

I use this on one of my fridge/freezers as in the hot weather we’ve been having, the freezer door had mysteriously opened - even though I always double check the door, and don’t know how it happened. It’s the one I use specifically for my gluten free foods and ended up having to throw all the food away, which was very expensive. Not wanting this to happen again, I purchased this lock, and feel I don’t have to worry about the door opening and wasting precious food now. The lock seems very sturdy and will only open with the magnet provided.

I have had a problem with my autistic son who will open the fridge at any opportunity. I have a 2 door fridge freezer and have been looking for an effective lock. This works and is easily installed. So good that I bought another one to install on all my food cupboards. I would like to see a spare key with the locks.
