Original Music Angel Speaker JH-MD07 TF card Portable Mini Digital Speaker siliver

I recently ordered a variety of small mp3-playing speakers to give as gifts. This one is head and shoulders above the rest! The sound is unbelievable for the size, and the controls are intuitive and easy. After listening to them all (see list below), I ordered 15 more of this one, and I'm about to order more. :-) I love it!The Original Music Angel is heavy in the hand with a quality feel, and it's also smaller than most of the others that I tried. I've tested one unit for several hours and used fifteen more for several minutes each, and haven't found any quality problems yet. I didn't keep close track of the battery life, but I'd guess it was two or three hours.My coworker (an engineer) listened to it and guessed that it cost $40. Compared to the others I tried, it's probably worth it.The only drawback is that there's no way to skip from folder to folder. You can only move one track at a time. This is not too bad for me, since I'm loading them with audiobooks. Also, there's no "random play" function for listening to music.It took some trial and error to get the Original Music Angel to play all the files in the right order. First I used a freeware program to quickly rename all the files on the micro SD card in the order that I wanted them played. When that didn't work, I used a free mp3 tag editor and made all the tracks sequential. That mostly worked until I updated one folder. Then the results on the player were erratic. But when I reformatted the card and copied everything over at once, the speaker played everything in the desired order.Here are the others that I tried:* Kamite Mini portable Speaker Mp3 Player Fm Radio KS-02* Lightahead® (music speaker) Double Sided Mini / Portable Speaker -- this one was the second best, but it was a far distant second* HSINI KD-MN02 Portable Mini Music SD USB Speaker FM -- this one would have been the distant second best, but it always turns on at maximum volume* August MB100B Portable Stereo Speakers - MP3 Player -- fairly loud, but feels and looks the cheapest* Mini Size 5*5*5cm TF card, FM radio Speaker Portable SpeakerOne more comment, I ordered these from wholesaleproduct2011, and they arrived in two or three days and were well packaged.----------------------------Dec-2013Beware of cheap imitations!In December, 2013, I ordered two more Original Music Angels in this Amazon listing from "2Buy Life" and "General shop" and found that both are (identical) cheap imitations. They feel cheap in the hand and they sound *awful* compared to the original, of which I still have several around for comparison. Both shipped from China or Hong Kong.The most obvious external difference is that the imitations have a standard size USB port on the side opposite the small USB and the micro SD card slot. They also are packaged differently, as can be seen in the photo here: [...]The imitation is on the left.These two are going back to Amazon, and I'm going to find out if wholesaleproduct2011 still sells the original. I'll update this review with the result.---------------------------------------Mar-2014Trying to find the originalI ordered a Music Angel from my first supplier back in 2013, wholesaleproduct2011, at the end of December, and it was a true original. But now wholesaleproduct2011 appears to have disappeared from Amazon and they don't reply to e-mails.So I've ordered one each from the following five suppliers to try to find more original Music Angels: allnice, Ocean-plaza, BestFire, TitanTech, and BuyInBulk. Unfortunately, both are the same cheap imitations that I got in December from 2Buy Life and General shop. Amazon has already issued refunds, and they say that they're investigating.-----------------------------------------Mar-2014Sigh... I received speakers from Allnice, Aweekshop and TitanTech. All three are the same cheap knockoffs. I'm still awaiting speakers from BuyInBulk, NiceEshop, and Tech Bay. My hopes are fading fast. :-\

Great little player, I really can't believe how much sound (with pretty good fidelity) it can produce. If there were a way to see the track playing and create playlists, I would be even happier. But, overall great value for moneyTwo months down the road, I still love the angel, but the battery just does not last and I need to play it while plugged in pretty much

Sound quality is poor. I also own a "My Cube" which looks identical, but has much improved sound. The difference is the Music Angel has a speaker with a large magnet, giving it great volume and mid to high range and almost no base, and the "My Cube" has a smaller speaker magnet, but includes a cone behind the speaker which gives the unit great base as well as excellent highs and volume. Units have same outward appearance.

I received the Music Angel very Quickly considering it came from China. This is a knock off, not the "Original" that being said it doesn't sound that bad. The unit recognized the micro SD card I have randomly filled with my music collection and played it right away. The player starts out at the max volume every time you turn it on but for me that's not a problem. It starts playing from the beginning of the last song playing when it was turned off. I got this unit for the longer playing time then my August MP3 speaker and as a back up if the August goes belly up. I will update this review as to the playing time and the durability.Update: The 1st 2 times I used the Angel the charge only lasted 5 hours...less than I August MP3 speaker. Hopefully charge will increase over time, this sometimes happens with new electronics, will keep updating.Update:I have been using the Music angel speaker for a month now with no problems, the play time is still about 5 and a half hours. I found a Youtube video from the manufacture that shows how to tell if you have an original or a knock off. The one I have is heavy for it's size, has the double heart decal and the speaker grill like in the video but has the large USB slot on the side, cheap packaging and the no retractable cable so it just might be a good knock off. There is a Music Angel website that you can buy the Super Mini for about $25 but I don't know if that's the "Original" Music Angel. I hope that the speaker last for more than a few months.Update:I have been using the Angel for 4 months everyday with no problems, I am very happy with it. I just wish my delivery truck had a working lighter plug so I could play it all day.
