A great “buddy strap” for our little ones at the beach. The locking buckle quickly discouraged our little guy from trying to undo his end. Great color - let’s be real here. These things tend to have a stigma about them. Adding bright colors to a device like this makes them more noticeable and if you’re self conscious about needing to use one you probably won’t be ordering one to begin with. The color on this just feels a bit more subtle in appearance. We used it at the beach and it dried quickly and didn’t seem to hold onto the sand. It took the rugs and pulls of our very strong little man without damage. Yes, the coil did loosen a bit but it didn’t affect its ability to do its job. Overall very satisfied.Update 11/21/2019: I didn’t buy this backpack thing. I bought a wrist strap. It’s pretty shady that a seller can change their listing to an entirely different product and keep the reviews.

I bought these to use on a recent trip to Disneyland and the beach. My son is three, almost four, years old, and the cuffs were very comfortable for him. I liked that they had velcro, a buckle, and lock on the child side. My child could easily figure out how to undo the Velcro so that made other similar products useless to us. Since the buckle on these locked, it was perfect for making sure that he could not take it off. I have large wrists, and the cuff for the adult fit well and was very comfortable. My son tried to run away and pulled as hard as he could, but they were very durable. I will be checking where the cord connects to the cuff before each use in the future because that is the only place I could ever see being a real weak spot at some point because they are very well made and I don't see any of the parts breaking down any time soon. We used these at Disneyland, walking through a crowded mall, and at the beach. It gave my son a little freedom to explore, but we were still connected so he couldn't take off running. If you have a runner, these are great to keep your little one safe. I thought my son would hate them, but we told him they were special bracelets for him and mommy to wear to the park and he doesn't mind wearing them.

When I purchased this I was expecting the wrist straps to be uncomfortable, but I was wrong! It did take me a few minutes to figure out how to loosen the child's wrist band, but I'd rather it be confusing so my son can't figure it out. The wrist bands fit nice and snug- I have double-jointed thumbs, so usually if something fits to my wrist I can wiggle my hand out of it, but the way the wrist bands are designed, they are tight enough so they can't be pulled off (but not so tight they cut off circulation). Best of all my son think's it's the coolest thing in the world- he pretended he was a robot when I first put it on him lol.

I like this product over all but the adult wrist strap is a bit small so it's hard for my husband to use. Over all it's a great product and my son actually enjoys it.

This is perfect for walking with your child. I've never thought I'd need one of these but my littlest is an explorer. This product gives me peace of mind when we are in large crowds.
