Very pleased with this combo. The rod comes in 4 sections and has small alignment dots which is a small thing but I like very much. The eyes are solidly fixed and seem decent quality. The cork handle is very nicely moulded and really comfortable. I’m impressed with the reel seat as it feels super secure and yet very easy action tightening with two locking rings. The rod itself casts nicely and has a decent ‘whip’. I thought it might not be strong enough for its size but having felt the strength in it I’d happily tackle a salmon. (Although to be fair who wouldn’t?) The rod comes in a very nice carry case which is small and so easy to transport and very robust.It’s another small thing but I really like how the rod and reel match. The movement on the reel itself is great – positively effortless and the drag very easy to set. It instantly feels quality. It’s aluminium and obviously very light. It comes in a nice little soft, black protective bag.I really couldn’t wait to take this combo out. It’s really nice and I expect together we will have our fair share of trout.Very nice.

Comfortable cork handle, good quality materials. I particularly like the fact that each section is marked with the rod length and line weight so you don't get your equipment mixed up if you own a lot of similar looking gear! Great middle to tip action and precise presentation of the fly. The reel is lightweight and well designed with an easy to use drag. Would definitely recommend this for anyone - beginners right through to experienced old hands.
