You get what you pay for but I think with this little bugger I got more. I have Xfinity and this works perfectly for me. I replaced an old model that I had for about 12 years so anything newer was going to be a big upgrade for me but this does the trick for a cheap price.I did have to contact Xfinity to setup the modem as the self starter wasn't working. However, I think that was due to me being a little impatient as I contacted them right away when it didn't work. When I was on the phone with the Xfinity tech support the self starter popped up on my web browser so I think if I just would have waited 10-15 minutes I could have done it through the self starter.

Great modem for the price.
The modem works as designed and it has the updoot numbers Comcast wanted. But be prepared to deal with their terrible customer service to get it to work with your router. It doesn't have PPoE so you need to use DHCP to get it to work with your router, which your router will be esoteric to understand what you're doing. You have to research all this nonsense to save money.

Great modem, works with Optimum online.
Ordered this renewed modem to work woth Optimum internet (Long Island). Technician came and had no problem setting it up. Even though it isnt listed on Optimum's website this works for Optimum internet (internet only, no voice). So far so good. It does feel a little hot to the touch but it is working. Will update later on.

Second one that i purchased for my son he is happy with it works as it should so far no issues.

Dont bother
Did not work even though it said it would work with my provider. also noticed that the unit would get very hot. Ended up returning it because it would not work no matter what I did. Even had to call out a specialist and he couldn't get it connecting to the internet. Spend the extra 50 dollars and buy something that will not only give you faster speeds but also guaranteed to work.

Simple and reliable
Bought this instead of renting one for Xfinity and couldn’t be happier. It’s fast, easy to setup, and I don’t even have to think about it. Zero regrets.

Worked for 1.5 years
Worked great for 1.5 years then started giving out on us and we had to replace. Not too bad for a refurbished.

A good purchase
I was fed up with renting my cable modem (phone + internet). When I decided to abandon my landline phone I no longer needed the dual purpose modem and decided to make this purchase. I got a great deal (got a $5 off special to boot) and figure that I'll be money ahead in just 3-4 months.Installation had to be coordinated with my ISP, but they were helpful and I was up and running in about 20 minutes. And, as an added bonus, my download speeds have increased by about 10% - no change on upload. I've always had good luck with refurbished products and wouldn't hesitate to do it again and save some cash.
