Great stowable pole for the money it never let us down.
Nice portable fishing rod used it through Europe in salt and fresh water. Paired it with a Shimano 4000x reel and it never failed to deliver. For the price and convenience of a stowable rod it’s well worth the money. The rocks we fished from were sharp sometimes volcanic type which really beats up gear but this pole was ok other than a few insignificant scratches that do not affect how it works. We fought reef fish, mackerel, bottom fish etc and it neve fell apart. I’d buy it again because of the convenience when you can’t bring a two piece rod.

Great looking , decent quality and value , fits in a suitcase
Typically with these collapsible setups are like wet noodles . Not this one . Medium to medium heavy with fast action. You can feel the bites just fine and it has back bone to set the hook. Time will tell on how long it will last but so far it brings the fish in :)

Cheap and compact, not bad.
I got this pole specifically for a short trip to North Carolina. I wanted a setup that i could throw in my carry on bag. After reading probably way too many reviews, i settled on this one mainly for the price point. I figured this rod probably would not last too long, but could work for a fun 3day trip. Combined this rod with the smallest 20$ 1000 spinning reel i could find, some #10 braided line i had already lying around, and a SMALL box of tackle. I could literally fit it all in my jacket pockets.I got the shortest rod they offered, i think it was a 5 foot 9 inch, medium. The rod is light weight, but a bit heavier than my 7foot casting rod. The reel seat is actually rather strong feeling and looks cool (my favorite part of the whole thing). The rod held up pulling in small bass and sunfish, but i did not get anything over 2lb. Im not sure how well it will hold up to 5+lb. or a heavy fighting species. The telescopic functioned with out any issues, the sections stayed out while fighting the fish and casting, they retracted fairly easily when packing it up. The tip section is much more flexible than i would have liked from a medium weight rod, but it did help in feeling the dinks biting. I was having little issues throwing out 1/32 oz lures. Retrieval felt fine. The eyes are not that strong, and i could see them failing it hit on trees or the ground too often.Overall i would say im happy with this purchase, this is DEFINITELY not my go to rod, and will probably only really be used in situations where i have to run minimal. But for such a low price point, and so far the durability seems substantial enough, this was a great purchase. With all that said, i would probably never buy another one again, i would buy a much higher end one for more regular use. But if you are looking for a fishing rod you can shove in your backpack for a short trip, backpacking, camping, or if you are incredibly new at fishing and want something cheap to just play with, i would definitely suggest this rod. If you are like me and fish 3+ times a week, you probably want something a bit better. Also just in case you were thinking this, no this rod would not be good in salt water. Please dont buy this if you plan on surf or ocean fishing at all. I guarantee you will face several issues with oxidation or rust. This is great for small lakes and rivers, think smaller and you will not be disappointed. Good luck, and tight lines.

Good for the price. 10 foot version casts 1 ounce about 50 yards.
I bought the 10 foot version of this for surf fishing next week in Cancun. Just a little goofing around in the morning before the wife wakes up.I wasn't expecting a lot for the price, but I had it out in a field today casting with a 1 oz. weight I was consistently getting 50 yards, occasionally 60. The reel was an inexpensive Shakespeare with 18# line. (I want to bring a rig that if I lose it, I don't care.)I also had no trouble mounting my reel. Others commented on the threading stripping. I didn't have that problem.I put a two ounce wight on and took it off pretty quick. I feel it would have snapped the tip eventually. If I catch anything I'll come back and post about it. Of course, if I get skunked, is it really the rod's fault?? Wish me luck.UPDATE: Well, I got skunked. :) But the problem wasn't this rod. If you've been to Cancun these past few years, the seawood is everywhere. The beaches are a mess and the water is thick with the seaweed, so the lures are fowled almost immediately. And it's not just the hooks that get covered with seaweed, the weight, the swivels, etc.Anyway, the rod is great for casting a one ounce weight plus a spoon or lure.

Fun and portable
Pretty solid portable fishing rod. I love that i got to pick out a fun color too, and it has held up pretty well so far.

Right rod, wrong line weight
Received the product. Correct item, wrong line weight. The item I ordered had a line weight of 10 to 20 lbs. The item I i got had a line weight of 5 to 10 lbs. Everything other than line weight was good. Seems like a very sturdy rod.Did a replacement exchange. They sent the exchange same rod with the wrong line weight.
