Solid construction, sturdy ABS plastic stake, double O-ring seal, wire could be heavier duty
You can never go wrong with Hinkley products, and this one is no different. For a basic landscape floodlight, this gets the job done with a clean, classy look, solid construction, and for a very good price (I paid $40). The fixture housing itself is well made out of metal and feels solid. It looks like the metal is painted, although I would have preferred powder coating for improved rust resistance. The stake is made out of plastic, but it's the rigid-type molded ABS plastic (so very durable), not like the cheap flimsy plastic that most cheap products are made out of. I still wouldn't be banging it in with a hammer, but this stake will definitely take a bit more abuse compared to other cheap lights. I hammered in a crowbar into the ground first to make a hole, then inserted the stake and packed the soil back around it. The double O-rings are good to keep moisture out. I might suggest to wipe a small amount of Vaseline around the O-rings before putting the cover back on just to prevent them from drying out over time and it'll help to ensure a good seal. The wire pigtail seems a bit thin - I would have preferred heavier insulation on the wire. Also, both leads are separate. I would have preferred if they were attached together. It just makes for easier cable management. Also, this is very minor, but I would have preferred slightly longer cable length. It measures approx 1 foot, but a bit more excess is always nice. Can't really comment on longevity as I just installed them yesterday, but installation was a breeze. Overall, it's a great light and I would purchase again without hesitation.

Quality product. Easy to install.
I have owned Hinkley outdoor lighting products for over 3 decades. They have always been high quality and last forever. This was no exception. It feels like it is built to last 100 years. I opened the box and had it installed in the yard in 20 minutes. Most of the time was spent looking for the existing underground low voltage wire to tap in to.

Wonderful product, but one little problem
I love these lights, exactly what I wanted for uplighting my back yard palm trees. Looks exactly like those my neighbors paid a lot to have professionally installed. Very high quality, the finish is beautiful. The wire nuts with silicone are messy, so I purchased direct bury connectors at Home depot. Yes, the ground stake is plastic but very substantial. My lights are in landscape beds, so no risk of breakage from mowers, etc. The halogen bulb (not included) is very easy to install. We have had a lot or heavy rain, and so far my lights are working great. I wish they had used longer wires, but they are adequate.So here is my major negative: out of the first 4 I ordered, 2 had to go back because the screw that you must loosen in order to change the angle of the light was tightened so hard that even my strong husband couldn't do it. And it's a very odd Phillips head profile. None of our many screwdrivers would fit it exactly, so you couldn't get the maximum power on it. Fortunately, Amazon makes returning for defect painless, but I had to order 2 more lights before I got my refund so I could finish the project. Both new lights were fine with screws not overly tightened by the factory.I've just ordered 7 more, for my front yard palms. I live 700 yards from the ocean, so I will update this review in the future as far as how well the lights perform in the harsh salt environment. For now, I highly recommend this light, deducting one star for having to return and reorder due to the screw problem.

Quality
Very good quality, but they say it's bright white but it has a strong yellow cast. It comes with a bulb that's not replaceable. If you want a 5K light you need to go to their cheaper product and put a MR16 5K bulb in the unit.

Nice Lights — You get What You Pay For
The build quality on these lights are much better than the cheaper versions at the big box stores. The gaskets (keep water out) are thick and sturdy, and the whole unit feels heavy and durable. They come with wire nuts for connection to low voltage line and and silicone gel for the parts that screw in (eg the stake that screws in to the light). Installing is easy assuming you’ve already got low voltage line to your installation spots.I’ve been using the 50w LED bulbs with no issues. These lights look great in the yard and I believe they are worth the extra money over cheaper alternatives.

A backdoor route to a solid LED fixture
Found these on sale for next to Nothing one day here on Amazon. And frankly nothing beats a Hinckley outdoor fixture. The key is to forget the ball did they talk about it’s just pick up a 3 W LED bulb with the same pens, and your wattage decreases exponentially as compared to the price which also decreases exponentially from what you would pay for a Hinckley LED fixture. If you get a good price it’s worth every penny

Not GU10 Base!
Please beware! The description states the bulb base is GU10. I ordered these lights and they did not fit so I called Hinkley and was informed that the bulb is MR16, GX5.3. The woman at Hinkley said she was going to make sure Amazon corrected the description. I can say that the light fixture is sturdy and well put together. I ordered the correct light bulbs (led) tonight so I will need to update this review after I see them up light my tall weeping cheery tree. Can't wait! I wanted anyone else who is looking to purchase these lights to understand what bulb is needed so you don't make the same mistake I did.

Nice Fixture - all installation accessories are INCLUDED
This item is fine, but Amazon recommends that you purchase stakes and wire connector caps separately. Both items actually come with the fixture! Unfortunately, I purchased items that were not needed, all because of Amazon’s misleading recommendation. Buyer be ware!

The bronze or brown colour is more of a greyish blue. The build quality is mediocre.
