Fun, Reasonably Priced Hobby Boat
For plain bang for your buck, this boat really cannot be beat. It is well-constructed, fast, and turns on a dime. You really need a good size pond to get the full potential from this boat. It has good range on the remote. The self-righting feature works very well when the boat rolls over. Just hit reverse, hit forward, and hit full throttle and the boat pops right over, even with a heavy 5200 mAh battery in it. The boat has fully proportional throttle control and steering. It has throttle trim adjustment and rudder trim adjustment on the remote control. The result is that you have excellent control over the boat. It also has manually adjustable trim tabs in the back.I bought this for my eight year-old son and with some instruction and help he is able to use it by himself and has a ton of fun with it. It will also keep an adult occupied. The seller's page on Amazon could use some help. This is especially true in the extra battery department. For those that are looking and having a hard time finding what extra battery to buy, then here is the scoop. The boat comes stock with a 2500 mAh 3S 11.1v Lipo battery with an XT60 connector. If you are looking for extra batteries, then my testing came to this conclusion. You can fit an Hoovo 5200 mAh 3S 11.1v Lipo in the boat and still wrap the velcro battery strap about the battery. The link is here https://www.amazon.com/HOOVO-Battery-Softcase-Airplane-Helicopter/dp/B08YR15KQ8?ref_=ast_sto_dpThat is the biggest that I could get to fit. If you use that battery, then the boat will sag to the left in the water and while running it will tend to make a left-hand loop instead of running straight. This tendency can be fixed by adjusting the rudder trim with the buttons on the remote. With the stock battery the runs straighter and is better balanced, but obviously you are going to have about half the running time. On the stock battery, if you are not full throttle the whole time, you will probably get 10 minutes out of it maybe more. What I would recommend for extra batteries is that you get the Hoovo 2200 mAh 3S 11.1v battery and just have more of them on hand for longer playing time. The link is here https://www.amazon.com/HOOVO-Connector-Helicopter-Airplane-Quadcopter/dp/B07MQT6YJN?ref_=ast_sto_dpAs far as C ratings on the batteries I would not go above 80C to protect the stock electronics and motor.Another thing to note is that battery hatch does not seal perfectly. I solved this by simply coating the stock battery compartment seal with Dielectric grease. After our outing with the stock battery and 5200 mAh battery, which amounted to about 30 minutes or more of playing around, including 3 different rollovers, we had only a drop or two of water in the motor compartment when sealed with Dielectric grease.Overall, I would say that you will not be disappointed with how it comes out of the box and with a couple extra batteries you or your kids can have loads of fun.

The Arrow 5 is a high quality, fast, fun RC boat for a wide range of RC enthusiasts.
Got this in April, 2025 and put it in the water within 2 hours. It's a fun boat, and stock right of the box it hit 23 MPH for me (I added a GPS odometer inside the inside cabin to verify). I've yet to adjust the trim tabs to see if I can gain a few more MPH, and I've got another propeller to try to gain a few more MPH. DO NOT DO THIS: I was able to mount a GoPro 10 to the top of this boat and got some cool shots, which I've included. Again, DO NOT DO THIS. I didn't have any issues, other than the boat running MUCH slower, but I expected that. And, the boat's self righting feature WORKED with the GoPro installed on the top of the boat. Since this is a VERY popular RC boat, you can purchase additional drive shafts, inside and outside cabins and extra batteries. Highly recommended as maintenance is quick and easy and we're having a BLAST with this RC boat.

Fun and fast! See below for 5200 battery substitution.
As in the other reviews this boat is fast, fun, and turns quickly. I got a 5200 mAh battery for longer run times but it was just a bit to thick to fit between the battery and the rim of the opening to get the left rear hatch mechanism to latch down and lock. What to do? I used a razor knife to shave about .5 mm from the BOTTOM of the latch arm (under side of the hatch) and all was fine. Hatch is water tight now. Make sure to note the rotation direction and travel for each of the 4 hatch mechanisms. Not the best design but doable and effective.Being black it is a bit hard to see so I put white plastic (packing type) tape on the sides which improved visibility a lot.

Great boat for the price
If you're like me and you're looking to get into RC boats but don't want to spend a lot of money this is a great starter boat very fast and very well made not a cheap kids one this is a great starter hobby boatI love that it has self righting so I dont have to go out and get it when it flips over and that it keeps to let you know when your getting out of range and when your battery is low all great features make driving it that much more fun when you don't have to go.Out onto the water and get it.

Bought and returned 2 Arrows, not durable
The media could not be loaded. I bought one of these for the river behind my house. It is FAST and worked well for about 2 batteries worth of time and then took a nose dive, hit the bottom, came back up, and the top cover was gone. Shortly thereafter, it randomly operated and then quit. I returned it and received another one which lasted a little longer until I lost rudder control and then it started randomly operating as well w/o the remote even being on. I changed all batteries, and tried everything. The hatch is not waterproof as water does get in, which may be the problem. I don't know, but I won't buy another one. The two I brought just aren't durable. You can see the random operation from the video with the controller not even being used.

This boat is incredible!! Worth everything.
Wow, I am so impressed by this boat for the speed and quality. It EASILY zips around water and is not effected by wind or small waves! It is perfect to be in a lake that is slightly bigger. Something that I am kind of annoyed about is the battery life. I took this out on the lake, a bit of wind, 4 inch waves, full throttle for 95% of the time and I got a pretty decent amount battery. Considering that you spend almost $200 on this fantastic machine, it is 100% worth getting another battery or 2. You can find one here on Amazon for about $25 dollars. Search, "11.1V 2500mAh battery" and it should be the first one to pop up. Overall, if you are looking for a fast, quality boat to enjoy, this one is it!

Get a 90 or 100amp esc, it'll wake up the motor
Very well behaved boat out of the box. You won't hit the speeds with stock components though. I put a ztw 100amp esc in this with radiolink receiver and it RIPS! The ESC woke up the motor. It handles like a dream too.
