The media could not be loaded. This is my first mystery snail. He is shockingly active. I swear he makes laps around the tank and is very silly. He gets on every single leaf regardless of his size. I honestly have no idea how. My only gripe with him is he is so heavy he will mess with the plants by climbing them and likes to munch on my floating plants - still no idea how he does this. He and the shrimp are also very interested in derooting my banana plant and getting underneath it. Other than that he is amazing. The betta doesn’t mind him one bit and the only drama with the shrimps is he will hog the food. I’ve come to learn to give him some veggie scraps so he gets distracted eating that and the shrimp can get a better shot at algae wafers. He also does a great job cleaning the tank.I didn’t know mystery snails can get up to 2 inches! Im pretty positive he has grown since I got him like a month ago.I would absolutely recommend getting one, especially from this shop. He seems way more healthy than the ones I see in pet stores, and much larger too. If you do get one make sure you’re able to care for them for 2 years and give a big enough tank. They will eat algae wafers and leftover fish food, but also seem to really love blanched veggies - especially kale.

After purchasing snails at my local pet store (to help keep my tank free of algae) on 3 occasions, each time getting a snail that was already dead or died shortly after I got it home, I figured I'd try something different. I was skeptical about ordering a live snail online but my experience couldn't get worse and this way was less hassle so I decided to give it a try. 3 snails arrived alive and thriving. They acclimated to my tank quickly and were moving around doing their job within hours. They are a nice size and exactly the color in the picture also. Overall, I'm really pleased!

I was nervous ordering something live through the mail, but I took the chance. Ordered two, got one free per the special. The seller reached out prior to shipping and established expectations. I tracked the package and got the snails out of the mailbox quickly, completed the instructions to acclimate them. One snail popped out and started moving right away, the other two took longer to get moving. All 3 were alive and healthy. I transitioned them to the aquarium and worried one goldfish was a little too aggressive but I think it was mostly curious. We’ve had them about a month (or so) and the fish and snails are fine together now. We haven’t had to clean the tank - the snails keep it clean, and they’ve added a fun element to our aquarium. Would absolutely purchase again, very pleased!

The media could not be loaded. Not sure what it is, if it’s a bug, larva, or parasite. I removed it and kept the snail in a small cup for a few days making sure there were no more. Only was the one. Snail was alive and still is weeks later.

Soooo, Gary is so sweet, he had a rough start at first, i couldn't imagine how he felt?? he was cold, non moveable, and just ALMOST DONE, I let him float in the bag he come in, and i let him do that for a half hour!!! that way he didn't get too warm at first, so for 2 days, after he stayed in one spot in my aquarium, then i think his stomach woke up, and said I AM HUNGRY, AND NOW HE IS BUZZING AROUND MY 20 GAL. TANK, I can't keep up with him, one minute, he is one place, then i just walk in another rm. and when i look again he has already zoomed around in another part of his HOME. so the moral of the story, if something is acting DEAD, HOLD OF FOR A LITTLE LONGER, AND THEY MAY CHANGE.

I've been keeping my aquarium for years, and these golden snails are one of my absolute favorite additions. Their stunning vibrant golden color matches perfectly with the green plants and other decor. They are healthy, peaceful and get along well with other tank mates. They are good at controlling algae growth, keeping the tank glass and decorations clean. While they’re not a replacement for regular tank maintenance, they certainly make the job easier. Highly recommend!

If I could give negative stars I would. I bought 2 snails and received one free on a promotion. One snail arrived dead and the other two died after I put them in my aquarium, within a few hours. I alerted the seller and was advised to give it time. Im not sure how much time they need, but still hadn't moved the next day....dead!
