Very comfortable - worth every penny!

I bought this product becasue my husband needed a softer top for our mattress. I chose this product becasue I did not want a foamy eggcrate top as those generally make it very hot. I read the reviews about the smell, and when you first open it, it is a little unpleasant. I laid out the plastic wrap on the guest bed and let the topper sit for the recommended 48 hours and it and my guest bed were fine with no smell. It fits our bed nicely. I do also have a mattress cover and with the cover the topper does not slip at all. It is a little firmer than I expected, so it is not soft, but it is a nice layer of cushion and it provides my husband what he needs to prevent joint pain when he wakes up. It also does not make either of us hot, so that is definately a plus.

My mattress has been getting close to 10 years old, but after some pretty intensive dental work I did not have it in the budget to get a new mattress. But I was having some back issues and sleeping was no longer as comfortable as it was a few years ago. So, to help extend the life and not need to haul away my old mattress, I decided to give a topper a try.It took about 2 days for the mattress topper to fully inflate, and the ridge in the middle where it was folded over took a few days of use to flatten out. The topper was perhaps just a bit stiff at first, but after a week or two the topper softened up and became very comfortable. It is firm at first every night, but after a few minutes with body weight and heat it relaxes and cradles me. It is not too hot, and hopefully come summer it will help keep me comfortable as well as helping my lower back pain.The only downside is my bed was already quite tall, so adding a topper made it difficult for my sweet 10 year old cancer surviving dog to get on the bed. I had to order a new doggy staircase to help him get up, but now he loves spending afternoons snoozing in sunbeams on my bed.

I bought this product for first my king sized bed in 3 inch, then for a Queen bed but one inch thinner.Both give me a comfortable night of sleep, and cushion my body so that nothing hurts. As I've gotten older I find the foam much better for my joints than even a good mattress can provide. The reason I got a 3 inch and a 2 inch has to do with the height of my bed. The 3 inch went on top of a sleep number mattress and this new 2 inch is over a mattress and box spring that were only a couple of years old. I would recommend both. There was no issue with a bad odor. I did have to put some weights on the middle crease when the topper was opening up because it was not flattening down. I used a narrow box of tin foil and another of parchment paper and whatever other thin boxes I could find to go down the center hump.

Our mattress is only a couple of years old, and I didn't want to replace it, but it was just uncomfortable. I thought that maybe we could take a chance and try one of these foam toppers, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money and I didn't have a lot of confidence, especially since reviews tend to be all over the place. In the end I decided on a 4 inch topper because it looked like it was nicer than most of the others and the price was somewhere in the middle of the pack.First I am happy with the quality of the product. Everything including the cover seems to be well done and it looks nice. The topper unrolled easily and inflated without issue. I did not notice any smell. Like some others have mentioned there is a slight ridge in the middle, but doesn't seem to be a big issue at least for me.Comfort is subjective, but for my wife and I after two weeks I think that both of us would agree that we are sleeping better, deeper, with less stiffness than before. For us, this was a worthwhile purchase.

I thought it was going to be thicker

This topper fluffed out right out of the bag, I was surprised, within a few minutes it was the full queen size and very comfortable. It does smell (a bit like synthetic dirt) at first, but it wasn't too strong and wasn't noticeable after a while or all the time. But it's like sleeping on clouds! We put it on top of our memory foam mattress, which is about 15 years old at this point, and it feels like a brand new mattress. I no longer wake up with sore hips or a sore lower back or shoulder pain. Amazing feel and quality for the price.

It’s a great topper I love it

I ordered this as an act of desperation, my husband deals with alot of hip and shoulder pain. He didn't have much faith. He is constantly moving between the bed and the couch to try to find some relief and short lived comfort at night. He builds nests with pillows and blankets to try to cushion his hips and shoulders in order to sleep. It's been a real struggle.I bought this 3 inch mattress topper for him on the sly. It came in 3 short days from ordering and he was struggling through a particularly bad week and he was actually excited. We waited the 24 hours after removing it from the box. It was in perfect condition and no bad odors. It puffed up like magic. We put it on his bed and for the first time in a very very long time he spent the entire night in his bed. He woke up a few times and had to reposition himself but he actually stayed in the bed. The second night was the same. That was just mindblowing.Yes I would recommend this product. I am sorry I didn't buy it sooner.UPDATE: it is now April 2021 and we've had the topper 6 months. It is so comfortable, it's soft and provides enough give to cradle aching hips. It does not move around on the mattress and there's never any need to make adjustments when making the bed. My fitted sheets work perfectly well and I don't have issues with them coming off on the corners. I would definitely recommend this topper.
