THE PERFECT ONE
My husband has worked in restaurants for many years in the past and has served wine to customers. He chose this corkscrew above all the others we saw online because he said it was just like what he used in restaurants. When it arrived he happily showed me how this one was far superior to the one we were using because of the stainless steel parts. Also the fact it wasn't double hinged so it would be stronger. We opened a bottle of wine and he was right, this corkscrew was stronger and so much easier to use. We love it! It came beautifully packaged and would also make an excellent gift to someone.

Great product!
Just received my Meilleur corkscrew, yesterday. Heavy, great in hand feel and very well made. Only one bottled opened to date, but the finishes are beautiful. Well worth the purchase price, exceeded my expectation completely.

Not a great corkscrew
This came in a nice box, but that's irrelevant because it just went straight in the trash. The foil cutter blade was serrated, after cutting foil (plastic or real foil) it looked like someone had been at it with a chain saw, visually very unappealing. I took it out to the garage and went to work with the angle grinder and a metal file, mine now has no teeth, its just a sharp blade, works so much better. Also, the part of the corkscrew that rests on the top of the bottle is too wide for most bottles, meaning only one side is in contact with the bottle, which makes cork removal way harder. I helped this width issue by returning to the garage and squishing it in the vice. Lastly, the leverage metal part is too short, again making it hard to remove corks, there is no fixing this. So if you are in the market for a good corkscrew, look elsewhere. This may have been made well (the materials and construction and packaging are nice), but it has multiple design flaws.

Handsome, and very well made. However, it ...
Handsome, and very well made. However, it is a bit stiff, and it does not work as well as a freebie that I received from a wine rep many years ago.

great value
this is a super replacement for an "opener" which disappeared in a recent relocation. I prefer this 'style' as it's still manual (less $$) and yet doesn't require brute strength to uncork wine! Opening a corked wine shouldn't be a substitute for going to the gym!Thank-you for a special product.

Quality Product
Only used it once so far. Seems of great build quality. The single fulcrum presents a problem with smooth operation. This sometimes leads to the need for too much pressure to pull the cork which causes the fragmenting of the glass of the bottle

I have been a bartender for years and I open ...
I have been a bartender for years and I open 20 to 40 bottles of wine per shift. This is by far the most frustrating and ill fitting wine key I have Ever tried to use. Where the key meets the top of the bottle it does not hook the bottles edge and it causes it to slip repeatedly. It is a dangerous tool that needs to be redesigned.
