Seemed like a good spirulina food for my babies... until I saw the food coloring ingredients :(
I was so excited to find what I thought was a great Spirulina flake... until I saw the last two ingredients are Food Coloring. :( Totally not necessary and perhaps harmful to my tank. I'm so bummed by this. I probably won't order again. And let me be perfectly clear - I would order these (as my guys love this) if it did not include the unnecessary food coloring additives. Nonetheless, kudos to the seller as the product arrived before the promise date and was very well packaged - The flakes were flakes and not dust! Thanks Marine and Reef!

These are the best quality flakes I have used
These are the best quality flakes I have used. They aren't paper thin and uniform like most, they are much more natural with more texture. Ocean Nutrition has completely gone down the drain in the past ~4 years completely changing their ingredients on the product by still advertising whole organic ingredients on their website (now it's like most dog food, wheat and corn product.) basically corn puffs with dye.Which leads me to my only complaint; I wish they wouldn't add ANY dye to these flakes, not only do I not care what color they are I guarantee my fish and shrimp don't care either. This is the 21st century, people can read ingredients and know more is less.

Mbuna love it
My Mbuna cichlids love this stuff. One problem is that it shakes down from a flake to a fine grain that becomes too messy to use, which is why I wouldn't buy a size larger than this 7-ounce container for my 55-gallon tank, along with pushing the shelf life of the food before using it up. Still, the unit price for 7 ounces is sufficiently better than the next size down, 2 ounces, to make it worthwhile, even if I throw out the fine part. I feed my Mbuna this along with New Life Spectrum Cichlid Formula. They seem to appreciate both.

Great staple food for mbuna
My mbuna cichlids love this stuff. I think they're actually disappointed when I feed them something else. As mentioned, it does tend to break down into pretty fine pieces as you go through the can, but if you're raising fry also like I am, that makes perfectly sized food for them, so that doesn't really bother me much. Also doesn't seem to impact water quality or clarity in any noticeable way.

Great stuff, my fish love it
Great stuff, my fish love it, but they must use die to turn the flakes green? I say this because shortly after starting to use this food my skimmate in the reef tank skimmer turned green. Weird.
