I didn't use these for what they are intended for so I don't know how much this will help.These are really lightweight and hold a ton. I love that it has the plastic insert to keep the mouth open.I used these for a shoe outlet sale. I spent hours and hours dragging them on a rough floor with at least 40lbs of shoes in each bag.So by the end of the day, the bottoms were worn out but they did the job for me and I'll be buying more for next year's shopping spree. If they could last a full day through that abuse, I think they'd hold up for a long long time just for leaves.

Zippered bags ordered previously didn't last a single season. These bags made it through a season and 6 more were ordered. Bags work well in pairs with one covering the other while transporting as I do, 5 miles one way, highway speed, back of pickup. Fill one, pull another down over the full bag. TIP, after the covering bag is over the filled bag, flip and pull the empty bag up.

They do wear out pretty quickly. I have a long project and the material and handles both break down in the sun. I now store them in the garage after a green dump trip. I love how much I can load in the jeep and keep it pretty clean, more or less!

Yes, I am Clutter Bug, indeed! I guess I love "stuff". I find "stuff" very useful, until it isn't anymore. Then I'm stuck with it, seemingly forever. Usually the problem is having something useful and handy to drop the clutter into, and keep it contained until the next step, which is usually trash or donate.Last night I had groceries delivered and right there I had a wide-mouth garden bag to catch the many grocery bags which I later took to the garage, turned over and dumped into the recycle container. Today I easily filled the bag with boxes from Amazon deliveries. The bag is sitting out of the way until I am ready to bring it down to the garage for the recycle bin.Each bag comes with a metal piece to thread through the rim of the bag so it stays open and balanced. I purchased a second set so I will have one in each room or area of the house, ready to separate items as my time and schedule permits. Of course I will not overload the bags or put undue pressure on them. Their important use for me is that they are lightweight, stay open, and allow me to corral many items until the next step. As they are flexible, I can easily reach in and separate items further, or pull out anything that is obviously too heavyI wish I'd know of these bags years ago when I was young enough to pickup leaves. I was missing the container every time. Picking up leaves now would be a snap! But this late in life I am using them for clearing out my house, and I can see a huge improvement already. It makes me feel good like, "I can do this after all!"If you are a clutter bug like me, and have a house full of "stuff", you may find you can clear out your house quickly and easily with the help of these garden bags. They stay clean and have a material you can wipe off. If you could say a garden bag is "good-looking", this is it!

These are nice and thick - thorns can't make it through the fabric. They are wide vs tall, making them easy to fill up with large twigs, leaves, and branches. Well worth the price. Very pleased.
