15 overall length but a sai should from the top of the handle or bottom of the blade to the tip should go from your hand till about an inch or 2 past your elbow I would recommend getting a 21 inch long sai this one is made for a child

I really wouldn't consider them weapons, I wouldn't consider them decorative wall art. To me if they were a weapon they're a bit small and they feel like polished pot metal. The handles are very poorly leather wrapped, if it is even real leather. They do look nice and they are very shiny but I would not consider them a weapon at all.

Q: Will they defend against someone who has a knife or sword?

Sais are a defensive weapon and if trained properly yes you could defend yourself, but if you ever find yourself in a situation where someone has a knife best chance of survival is the nuts and scram
