Works, but poor quality
First of all, the description about the motor is not accurate. This is just a plain old brushed DC motor with worm-gear reduction an old (and obsolete) encoder on the back. There are no additional controls in the motor to implement the smart behaviors mentioned in the product description.Output shaft is 10mm diam with a key. Environmental sealing is essentially non-existent. Wires to the encoder are protected at the end with heatshrink and not properly restrained other than with a cable tie to the motor power leads.We received the gearmotor in a few days, and the motor ran okay. But the metal encoder wheel was bent so it hits an inside edge of the encoder sensor every rotation. The end of the shaft that the encoder is mounted on is also machined crooked making the encoder wheel wobble even worse. Thankfully the encoder wheel is metal so it can be bent straight enough to work.The encoder shaft (or the nut on the end) rubs against the inside of the encoder cover, which is pretty silly.Dear manufacturer: Please test the motors before shipping, restrain the wires better, mount the encoder wheel straight, use an encoder that isn't obsolete, and make the encoder cover sealed with an o-ring and cable restraint.
