I had turtles in my small pond that ate all my Lilly pads, so to help fight algae I bough these thinking they would add shade and some color. I put them in the pond and had my wife come look,…she just looked at them and said, "They look fake." After several weeks they got slimy and mineral stains and looked even faker and dirty. Now they are in a box in my garage. I guess if you are willing to clean them ever few weeks, and maybe the sun will fade them some so they don't look so fake green, you might like them. I was not pleased.

They're super cute. However, they do fade in the sun. They may be made more for ponds and shaded areas. But, I've seen a toad on a couple, so they do a fairly good job of saving them :).

Lily pads are very realistic in color and have veins in the leaves. Seem to be thick enough to be durable and last. Look fantastic in the pond. Very satisfied.

The media could not be loaded.  They do well and though they occasionally need a rinsing as debris accumulated ate edging. No big deal the real ones do that too.A little stick I have with a hook dumkacthem under and voila! Clean
