Excellent knife for the price!UPDATE..this is the second knife I purchased! *
I am an amateur collector on a budget. My reviews are based on what you get for the price. I have bought several knives from SZCO.. all where good value. This may be the best deal yet, even on Amazon! IF you are looking for an authentic looking western/frontier bowie 'type' knife I highly recommend this blade. The simple design and bone handles give it the appearance of an antique. Sturdy well made. Very sharp and pointy.. not a toy.. not for a party costume! Could be used by re-enactors that use real weapons. Makes a great collector display knife. No markings on blade or handle. Nice leather sheath with decorative lacing. For about $22.00 has to be one of the best buys out there!* this review is for the second knife I purchased. The quality is consistent with the first one I bought. Plan is to decorate the sheath and handle to give it a 'native american look'.

Get what you pay for. Will do the job though
Fit and finish is off gaps with hilt and handle grinding marks on blade and way off on angle for sharpening tip is 1/16 Off but still heavy duty and solid with what you pay for decent pig sticker sheath hold the knife well but lacks in quality

Nice for the price...
I have been a knife collector for 40 years and purchased this Bowie on a whim, due to the price. I did not expect much from a $20 Bowie, but was pleasantly surprised with my impulse buy. The knife has a good feel/balance and the blade is better than average quality. It came sharp, so I have no opinion on sharping and if it will hold an edge. The fact is that the bone handles are splendid and the sheath is impressive. In the famous words of Crocodile Dundee:Sue: He's got a knife.Mick: (Laughs) That's not a knife. (Pulls a huge bowie knife from its sheath at his back and grins proudly) That's a knife!

Good quality knife, very nice looking
The media could not be loaded. This knife is definitely worth more than the listing price, but I’m going to keep this short. This thing will do anything you need it for, its a good camping knife. Though I wouldn't personally use this as a self defense weapon due to the weight and size but over all its a good one and if you’re thinking “should I buy this?” The answer is yes, yes you should. Its pretty.

Great knife, great price.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this knife, especially for the price. The bone-colored handle was fit to the tang well, the brass hilt was well-shaped, and fit to the tang well also. After wiping the knife down with solvent (the knife was protected with a clear oil/light grease, I examined the blade. It was about 3/16th thick and had a decent polish to it. The blade was partially sharpened and will be sharpened further. The sheath was well made in a brown leather/like? material with a plastic spacer to protect the blade. I'm happy with this purchase and the for what you get for the price, I don't think it can be beat.

Not worth the money...
Not a knife to buy. The blade weight is a little heavier than I want and if and when you do get the knife to sharpened, if you can get the blade sharpened it will NOT hold the edge. I used my diamond block and sharpening strops and it still took two hours to get an edge that was barely sharp. Still wouldn't cut paper after all that I finally gave up and put the knife on the shelf. As for the durability I can't say because the knife is on the shelf and will not be used. I bought it for my reenacting and am so very disappointed.

You get what you pay for.
I did not notice any problems with the steel itself, but it is heavy for the size. The guard is not straight and the handle fit and finish is poor. For the price you get a knife for “wacking” wood, but not really much to look at.

It will chop
Good knife, Came packed in plastic and oil. Decent blade quality (made in Pakistan) Full Tang. Dull, dull and dull. Obviously hand made. Good heavy knife for hacking at tree limbs or digging in dirt This is NOT hunting, skinning blade.. Terrible sheath, a weird sandwich of leather and cardboard. Definitely not a knife for showing off to Brand Name Snobs.... All in all.... I like it and would definitely buy another. Blade from guard to tip is 10 inches, 3/16th Thick, The blade is 1-1/2 inch wide at the guard and 1-3/4 inches at the start of the taper.
