Q: Re: 3474. i am not getting much suction. is air supposed to be coming out from near the impeller and power switch? bag barely extends when on.

No. There should not be any air coming out from behind that stuff. Sounds like a bad seal, or lack thereof. Before you pull it apart, contact their customer service. They may send you replacement parts. When/if you do take it apart, be very careful with the bolts holding the mount to the fan case. The case is cheap, thin metal, and is easily stripped if you tighten too much, or repeatedly take the bolts on and off. Don't ask me how I know... If that happens, you compromise the seal, even more.

The 7.4 is brushless. The 5.5 uses carbon brushes you have to replace.

It's brushless. The other one uses carbon brushes.

you can actually buy replacement bags. I've used a few different bags, as long as it fits you can use it.
