Villeroy & Boch 9M87S101 Toilet Toilet Unit (White, Duroplast, 2.61 kg)

Bought one in May for upstairs and decided to replace one in downstairs loo also. Price had gone up by 20% and I’m a Prime customer so it wasn’t delivery charge. It’s a very good product, neat lines, good construction and good fit but that’s a huge jump in price. The previous one, by the look of the plastic shrink wrapping, had been on the shelf for a while so it will be interesting to see when the new one is delivered.

As what you would expect it to be!

As expected, replacement for broken seat. Price surprises me for something so simple, but had no choice given I needed to replace.

Sorry I didn't read previous review before, as I purchased this seat on 1st May this year as a replacement following a house fire, and have just had it fitted by the builders. Went to clean the bathroom and let the new seat fall from my hand, as I've done for years with my previous one, and it slammed shut. Really disappointed with this wrongly described item and stuck with it now as they are non returnable once fitted.

This was to replace an older seat. The new one had a soft close facility and could be easily removed for cleaning. Other than that, what can more can I say? It's a toilet seat.

[Note this is a product not a supplier review - its a shame Amazon doesn't differentiate.]Comfy, smooth closing, and (until today) reliable after 7 years service.One of the vertical pegs sheared off its mount (seems a poor design in retrospect, but could also be designed-safe so the hinge pin breaks before anything else). Taking the seat off to investigate I notice the stainless steel hinges are spotted with rust - not too stainless then! For the price, this is an OK performance but not a good one.
