I purchased this for use with my 2006 Jeep Wrangler to align the Cam/Crank Sensors and the OPDA. It worked great. I've used it to pull codes from the Wife's 2015 Caravan. The kid has a 2001 Silverado, pulled codes from it. Entered IQM (Injector Codes) into my 2008 Dodge Cummins. Then used it to program additional keys in my 2016 F250. I've had it a couple yrs now and it has been handy to have. I let the subscription lapse for updates, and it still does what I need for now. If I buy a different vehicle I will renew the subscription then. Comes with a solid sturdy carry case which is great to store when not in use and keep it from getting banged up. There are cheaper options, but this one is great for a handy guy trying to keep his aging personal fleet running.Diagnostic accuracy:Programmed my IQM codes in fine.Build quality:Good Sturdy Protective Case and the Tablet/Cables feel solid.Live data:Programmed my Jeep OPDA and pulls live O2 data too.Ease of use:It is Android based, so just email the reports to your self. Updates over WiFi.

A great product honestly but buyer beware in some specific cases,I did a fair amount of research on YouTube and forums before purchasing the MK808S, though I didn't confirm all of my vehicles on the Autel site. It seemed promising for all of the things it can do for the high price. Primarily programing remote key FOBs, and that was the main issue I had. I have a 2018 Chevy Impala and a 2022 Buick envision and both weren't supported to perform that action. I ensured the 808 was fully updated in case I was missing something and no luck. In fact there were allot of models not listed that should be and I had to file for a return and a refund.That all being said the 808 can still read codes, analytics and live data throughout the entire vehicle without needing a make model confirmation which can greatly help in troubleshooting or knowing the issues before dropping off to a shop.I gave this 5 stars because it can still perform the vast majority of functions but I can't rate it low because I didn't do the the research and it was a minor inconvenience to return it. Sure, I'm disappointed but before purchasing confirm on the Autel site your year, make and model can do everything with your vehicle.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I work on cars professionally, I was in the market for a second beater scan tool to have around was looking at the Icon & actually returned it for this one. If you’re a DIY or young tech with less than 5 years in the trade pick it up. Will pay for itself the license is only like $150/yearly & the first year is free. But it does just about everything you’ll ever need it to do with programming modules, running live data, scan codes etc. Can’t go wrong with this tool and the OS isn’t terrible and it’s not laggy like most cheaper scanners.

The AUTEL MK808S is not your old dumb orange OBDII Scanner.Using this device for the first time is somewhat a pain without a manual.It will take me a while to figure out most of the features.THERE IS NO USER MANUAL – but it comes with:--- Quick Reference Guide. (1 pg. - 3 diagrams and a QR Code to website).- Quick Start Guide. (8 pg. 5”x7.5” color fold-out). …Get out a magnifier to read it.--- The Quick Start Guide will suffice if you can read the small print.YOU ARE REQUIRED TO REGISTER THE DEVICE BEFORE YOU CAN USE IT.- YOU CAN REGISTER BY: (1) Online at AUTEL’s web site, or (2) by scanning the QR Code from your phone, or (3) inside the MK800S device after you have connected to WiFi.<> I prefer the big screen and keyboard of a computer to register.(Later I can then enter my log-in/password on the device)- You will create a log-in and give them your information. Actual address is not required.*** There will be several security checks --- this is a good thing for your protection. ***- Then, you will need the SN from the back of the device, and you will be required to go into the “ABOUT” on the phone to get a pass code to complete registration.- Then it will require you to do a validation code to your email and-or phone.*** Once done with the registration, it will show “My Devices” and a screen to pay: $125. You can ignore this. It is for Year 2 subscription renewal, and is only necessary to get new updates after Year 1.That said, install all the updates before the 1st year is done.

The MK808s is a very powerful tool for its price with plenty of great features. In addition to its ability to communicate with most fitted control units and perform service system functions, it has hidden capabilities like graphing speed sensors together to recognize small deviations. Tons of functionality for a very reasonable price.

Autel MK808S....This has been a great scan tool. Besides the basic diag tools which most scanners have, this one tops the ease of use and information given. Other tools on this scanner that I haven't seen on any others that I really needed was a way to turn off the lock up converter on a Mercedes for a roadtest to verify the fault. Also, the Autel MK808S can be stored for a lengthy time and the battery is still fully charged. Highly recomended.

If you work on vehicles MK808S scanner tool is a must have. From bleeding brakes to programing keys to ur z-axis steering angle sensor reset to live data.. iv had this for a year now and iv been approached by snap onn trying to sell me there scanner for 10x plus what this one is priced at this is a really good tool for the price point

Directions could be better. I thought I had a major problem and made a mistake buying this unit. I spent hours trying to get this thing to talk to my hotspot. After I got the thing to work on 2.5 and 5g with a strong signal to my hotspot, I was impressed with the manual control I had over the vehicle with this unit. I found a lot of problems with the vehicle with this scanner. They should send a short video on a thumb drive to show what this thing can do. It would have saved me hours of frustration.
