Remember the colour wheel?Red ( henna ) and blue (indigo ) mixed together makes green!!!!!! BUT DO NOT FORGET THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT TO A SUCCESSFUL NATURAL HAIR COLOUR EXPERIENCE IS : knowing the porosity of your hair, CONSISTENT USE and PATIENCE ! What shade/tint/tone do you want your hair to be after application? you may need to experiment with the ratio of henna and indigo mix to achieve your ideal colour goal. This is the first time I have used this product as I have been looking for a non chemical hair colourant for a while now. I have about 15% grey hair & my hair does tend to be more on the dry side.1st try:I first mixed equal quantity of this indigo powder with henna ( all natural brand ) and 2 tbsp of aloe vera gel with enough water to make a paste that is the consistency of yogurt. Set it aside for about 2 hrs and then applied on my hair. Kept this mask on my hair for about 2.5 hrs and just rinsed off. OMG! it was a disaster! my grey hair had this reddish gold tint to it and that too .... it was not even all over either. I was pretty disappointed but then realized that a couple day before I had applied a very little bit of coconut oil to my hair to keep the from getting frizzy. Figured that might have created a barrier and prevented the mask from colouring my hair and also maybe I had not kept it on for long enough.2nd try:After 48 hrs of the 1st try I mixed enough indigo powder with warm water to created a paste , set it aside for 20 minutes and then applied on my hair. Kept it on for 2.5 hrs and just washed it off with plain water, did not use any conditioner either. My grey hair that had this weird reddish gold tint was now bluish green!!!!!!!!!! ugh!!!!!!!!!! but not too bad, I could live with it for a couple days but wouldn't go out with that colour on my hair, even though my family said it looked like I had got some fancy streaks on my hair.3rd try:24 hrs after the 2nd try I used a herbal moisturising hair mask , left that on for 2 hrs and washed off with shampoo, did not use conditioner ( OMG! my hair is sooooo soft 💕❤️ ).Final result:My hair looks a little less like I have blue green tint ( it's not all gone ), but rather a softer brown black color which is more natural looking.Would I buy this product again? YES!!!!!!!!Things to keep in mind: DO NOT use unless your hair is shampooed and oil free. That means do not use conditioner or any other styling products before you use henna or indigo or a mix of both on your hair. Ideally shampoo your hair a day or 2 before you use this method of hair colouring. Keep in mind if you hair is naturally oily, you might have to shampoo on the day before you use this pack. For those with drier hair...... indigo does tend to make you hair a bit dry, so keep that in mind. Here are the live and learn points:I am going to use the following ratio of henna and indigo hence forth.1 part henna with 3 parts indigo. Remember do not use any oil in this mix as oil will create a barrier and wont allow complete saturation of colour on your hair. I do not plan on using aloe vera gel either. In fact just use tepid/warm water to mix henna ( in any air tight container/bowl )separately and set aside for at least 2 hours . 20 to 30 minutes before you want to start colouring.... mix the indigo powder with tepid / warm water and set aside. Just before you apply to your hair mix both premixed henna and indigo together, give it a good whisk and apply. How long to leave on depends on: patience, porosity of your hair and how much grey you have to cover or is it just for a nice tint on your natural hair. This indigo powder does stain hands, skin, counter top , clothes etc so REMEMBER TO USE PROTECTIVE GLOVES AND COVER YOUR COUNTER TOP AND KEEP A DEDICATED SHIRT OR BLOUSE JUST FOR THIS PROCESS. ALSO AFTER APPLYING THIS MASK COVER YOUR HAIR WITH A SHOWER CAP TO KEEP THE MASK FROM DRYING OUT.GOOD LUCK.

DANGEROUS PRODUCT - Chemical Contamination Risk
WARNING: This is NOT pure indigo powder as advertised.SAFETY ISSUES:Penetrated through protective gloves and stained nails (pure indigo doesn't do this)Caused painful stinging sensation on nail edgesExtremely aggressive staining beyond normal indigo behaviorClear signs of chemical additives despite "no added colors" claimMy Experience:I've used indigo for a year without problems. This product behaved completely differently - like harsh chemical hair dye, not natural plant powder. Pure indigo is gentle and doesn't penetrate quality gloves or cause burning sensations.Red Flags:Product claims "Indigofera Tinctoria" but acts like synthetic dye"No added colors" label appears false given the aggressive chemical behaviorPackaging may look professional but contents are questionableHealth Concern:This product's harsh reaction suggests dangerous undisclosed additives that could cause allergic reactions or chemical burns.Recommendation:AVOID.Non-returnable policy makes this worse - you're stuck with a potentially dangerous product.Amazon should verify this seller's products for safety compliance.
