Good quality for the money but............Read on.
Works just as well as expensive brands, ok it's not the self tinting type but with care works ok, Sometimes the expensive dipping type can be temperamental with batteries to change solar panel issues etc but for me that initial weld arc flash time closing down the tint window can be enough to cause Arc eye which isn't pleasant and can lead to eye damage if prolonged, also i found the window area very small so i made the choice to return this and have ordered a GYS self tinting for not really much more money that was on offer, i will see how that pans out but GYS is a renown french brand and i have used their equipment before and found to be satisfactory.

Perfect for the job
Good value for money. The helmet is light, comfortable and fits well, just what my husband needed to work on his classic bike. Works well as the protective clear screen moves up and down allowing you to see what you are doing. Good for MIG, TIG and stick welding as my husband informs me, if he can prize it back from my son..

Very dark!
This is well made, albeit from relatively flimsy plastic, and fits pretty well, but it's so dark I really struggle to see my work.I use a halogen spotlight to shine onto my work so I can just about make it out through the visor.Once I'm welding it's fine, it's just tricky to see where to start.

Good for what it is
It’s a good build quality, like one I had long ago but I wish I bought an automatic oneA long time ago I was hospitalised with arc eye which wasn’t getting better for a long time and they thought I’d go blind, that was my own stupidity when I was much younger welding without a mask for over 4 hours. This mask is perfectly fine but I’ve had a few flashes in my eyes and it makes me wish I’d just spent a little extra to get an automatic one, they don’t cost much at all these daysI think this would be good for a spectator

what you see is what you get
ok this product caught my eye because of it's price got it delivered and after a few adjustment's got it to fit snug. the splatter from the arc rods were no problem to the hood but I have only one moan, the darkened glass is not much good to me too much of a tint. This may be because I don't have any extra lighting at home but outdoors it's the same, so I took out the tint kept the safety glass and use welding goggles underneath the hood instead.unless the weather is too over cast I can see the workpiece clear and thus aid with my welding.ive tried mig welding with wire and one of those solar type hoods but could not even see the wire and welding was pot luck.these hoods are worth buying and they do the job but try a lighter gauge tintthanksHenry Deholmes
