I bought this for tucking carpet behind a storage heater, which didn't have sufficient clearance to use a normal carpet tucker. In the pictures the tool looks curved from front to back, which would have been ideal for the task. It is, however, completely flat. While I was disappointed initially, it was still useful for tucking carpet around the heater's feet.

This little tool deserves its 5 stars. Perfect for the job in hand. I used it to replace a recently laid carpet that I had to lift. It went back perfectly using this tool. I have no experience in carpet fitting but this made it a whole lot easier . I then used it to tidy up the rest of the house as plenty little bits needed tucking in.Top tool .

This is a handy tool that makes light work of tucking into tight corners and around pipework using the small edge. On straight sections the larger edge works quickly with a rolling action. The metal end piece appears to be designed to strike with a hammer, but I wouldn't attempt this as there is a notable weak point where the head of the tool is fitted. This also makes the tool uncomfortable to use when using your palm to drive the tool into corners. The head is as thin as a scraper and I damaged the skirting a few times, so watch out for this. Overall, this is a good tool and should be used alongside a conventional bolster for larger jobs.

Got this to push the edges of carpet back after lifting it to paint skirting. Was much smaller than expected and had a straight blade. The photo looked as it was curved. But despite that, it was very easy to use and did a perfect job. Well worth the money. Definitely recommend.

Had to tidy up my carpet after the fitter did a botch job. This tool did the job perfectly and easily.

Nice shape and robust but could be uncomfortable after full days fitting carpets due to the brass cap pointed corners.You could file cap points and round off.My old rubber tucking in knive was more comfortable to use.
